Police: Woman threw rock at car
MANSFIELD – Georgeanna L. Dunbar, 35, of Canton, was charged by state police after allegedly throwing a rock at a passing car, breaking its windshield.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson’s office, Dunbar faces charges of harassment, criminal mischief and propulsion of missiles into an occupied vehicle.
Police said the vehicle was operated by Blaze D. Schrader, who was traveling on Lower Mountain Road, Ward Township on Oct. 3, when the incident occurred.
The rock struck the windshield of the 1993 Honda Civic causing $320 in damage and the glass shattered over both the driver and his girlfriend, Tara M. Machmer, who waas in the passenger seat.
According to Machmer, the glass “went everywhere” including on her lap, and she was wearing shorts at the time.
She also had glass in her hands as a result of the incident, police said.
Dunbar said she threw the rock because the car was traveling by her house at a high rate of speed, according to police.
She waived her preliminary hearing and was released on $1,500 bail. Her county court arraignment was set for Feb. 4.
