Theft, mischief alleged of ex-boyfriend

ELKLAND – Dustin L. Stone, 31, of Troopsburg, N.Y., was charged by Lawrenceville police with criminal mischief and theft after he allegedly sold his former girlfriend’s car stereo and didn’t give her the money.

According to documents filed at District Judge Brian Edgcomb’s office, Stone had been living with the victim, Tara Knapp, at Lot 48 Buffard’s Estates, Lawrenceville, between Oct. 28 and Dec. 2, when he sold her car stereo valued at $795 and failed to return a Christmas tree valued at $100.

Stone was issued a summons for a Jan. 31 hearing.
