City woman accused of credit card thefts
A city woman faces 22 criminal charges for allegedly using two stolen credit cards at several local businesses according to state police.
Danielle Marie Baker, 41, of 927 Arch St., allegedly made five purchases with Timothy Freund’s credit cards after the cards were taken from his car while it was parked on Arlyne Avenue in Fairfield Township on Jan. 10, police said. The purchases totaled $501.
Police allege Baker made six other attempts to make purchases totaling $857 with the credit cards, but she was denied.
Charged with five counts each of theft, receiving stolen property, access device fraud, six counts of attempted access device fraud and one count of forgery, Baker was arraigned last week before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
