Wellsboro police charge man in drug store robbery
WELLSBORO – Christopher S. McCormick, 33, of 520 Button Hill Road, Tioga, has been charged by borough police with allegedly robbing the CVS pharmacy here Monday.
According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard’s office, McCormick was charged with robbery, terrorist threats, theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly walked into the drug store at 9 Main St. in the middle of the afternoon and demanded drugs.
Police said he handed the pharmacist a note demanding “all the Oxycontin, Percocet and Vicodin you have or I will kill everyone. If I ever get the feeling you are making for the alarm, you’re dead. I have a gun.”
McCormick allegedly left the store with an unknown quantity of narcotic pain killers, police said.
He was arrested at his residence and arraigned Thursday.
