Man accused of damaging 2 pieces of state equipment
An Upper Fairfield Township man has been charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief for damaging two pieces of equipment owned by the state Department of Transportation, according to state police.
Cory Case, 26, of 324 Reeder Road, has admitted to slashing four tires on a street sweeper and smashing out the windows to a grader while the pieces of equipment were parked at Carey Hill and Slaugen White Hill roads in mid-March 2011, police said. Damage was estimated at $2060, police said.
Following his arraignment Monday before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman, Case was released on $2,500 bail.
