Troopers arrest alleged heroin and PCP dealer
After two “controlled buys” last week at a Montoursville motel guest room, state troopers raided the room and seized “a large amount of heroin, marijuana and phencyclindine (PCP), according to court records.
Arrested on Thursday following the second purchase was Brandon Avery Stevenson, 22, of 506 1/2 High St., police said.
Stevenson allegedly sold heroin to a confidential informant on Wednesday and Thursday from out of a guest room in the 1100 block of Broad Street, police said. In addition to the drugs, police seized from the room a loaded handgun. Its serial number had been removed, police said.
Following his arraignment later that night before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on more than a dozen charges, including three counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance as well as one count of possessing a firearm with an altered manufacturing number, Stevenson, an admitted heroin addict, was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.
