Devils Elbow Road man charged with assault
JERSEY SHORE – A Piatt Township man was arrested and jailed following a domestic disturbance in which he threw numerous dishes at his girlfriend, who needed 20 stitches to close cuts on her arms, according to state Trooper Paul McGee.
Dwayne Allen Williams, 46, of 1339 Devils Elbow Road, has been charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment following the incident at his home involving Wanda Kramer about 9:15 p.m. April 7, McGee said.
Williams came home intoxicated and after assaulting Kramer, he “started started destroying furniture and throwing dishes at her,” McGee alleged in an affidavit.
During the assault, Williams told Kramer she was “going to die” if he goes to jail, McGee said.
When the trooper entered the house, he saw broken furniture, broken glass and the woman’s “blood all over the house, especially on the floor,” court records state. Kramer was treated at the Jersey Shore Hospital emergency room.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley hours after the assault, Williams was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
