Police: Woman made daughter help with scam

JERSEY SHORE – Unable to pay her rent, a 38-year-old mother used her daughter to sell $10 bogus discount cards to businesses in the borough in mid-February, according to the Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.

Wynne A. Probst, of Mill Hall, has been charged with theft and corrupting the morals of a minor for sending her daughter to businesses, claiming she was “raising money for a field trip when in fact Probst was using the proceeds to pay her rent,” police said.

Probst has been sent a summons to appear before a District Judge.
