2 accused of shoplifting
Two women in separate cases face a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting, according to city police.
Katheryn Hyde, 33, of 925 Ellinger St., was caught allegedly trying to flee Kohl’s, 251 William St., with $135 worth of jewelry on Nov. 26, city police said.
Hyde, who already has one shoplifting conviction, has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Allen P. Page III.
Holly Lee Staley, 26, of 621 Eighth Ave., has been charged after she was caught allegedly trying to steal an $8 cellphone charge at the Family Dollar, 1221 W. Fourth St., on March 31. She also was charged with receiving stolen property. She has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge James Carn.
