Convicted felon in city allegedly had firearm

A city man was arrested on a charge of convicted felon not to possess a firearm after his wife discovered a rifle in the couple’s bedroom closet on March 8, city police said.

Donnell S. Thompson, 38, of 1024 Baldwin St., was arraigned last week on the felony charge before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman. Convicted of felony trespassing, he initially was jailed in the Lycoming County Prison, but since has been released on $15,000 bail.
