Drunken trespassing leads to prison, police report
Two intoxicated men face charges after they were caught allegedly trespassing at the Loyalsock Township High School football field complex about 6:20 a.m. May 21, state police said.
One of the men, Brett James Savage, 21, of 127 S. Main St., Hughesville, also was charged with simple assault after he attacked school custodian Brian Lowmiller by allegedly punching him several times in the face and head, police said.
Lowmiller and school maintenance employee Jeremiah Jones had ordered Savage and Marco Antonio Ortega-Ramos, 19, of 1810 Hazel Drive, off the premises after finding them there, police said.
After Lowmiller was assaulted, both suspects fled to Randall Circle, where they soon were apprehended by several state troopers who converged on the Loyalsock Township neighborhood within minutes after the assault was reported.
Savage and Ortega-Ramos have been charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, trespassing and public drunkenness.
Both of them then were arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail each.
