Man, 45, accused of pointing loaded shotgun at woman
LAWRENCEVILLE – Britt Wade Brewster, 45, of 2256 Merrick Hill Road, Knoxville, is charged by Lawrenceville police with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats following a May 5 report of a domestic dispute at 19 Buffards Riverside Estates.
Brewster allegedly aimed a loaded 12-gauge shotgun at the victim and threatened to kill her and then himself.
A struggle then allegedly ensued between Brewster, the victim and a neighbor, and the victim and the neighbor were able to flee to safety.
When police arrived on scene, Brewster refused to exit his residence. Police allegedly heard him discharging his shotgun, with shells hitting the floor.
Brewster finally emerged from his residence and was double-handcuffed, according to reports.
Brewster, denied bail, is being held in county jail following his May 16 preliminary hearing before Judge Brian Edgcomb.
