Man allegedly DUI in high-speed chase
On his 27th birthday, Old Lycoming Township resident Mark Anthony Fullmer, critically injured last summer in a motorcycle crash, was brought before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman to face charges of allegedly driving drunk at the time of the crash.
Fullmer, of 1799 Spring Run Road, had a blood-alcohol content level of 0.13 on Aug. 18 at the time of the 11:30 p.m. crash, according to state Trooper David Walker.
Fullmer was fleeing from Walker at speeds in excess of 100 mph when his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 180 near Warrensville Road. The motorcyclist lost his right leg in the crash.
Fullmer was arraigned April 18 on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, speeding and driving an unregistered vehicle. He was released on $5,000 bail. It is his third drunk driving arrest, Walker said.
