Police: Doorbell-ringer exposed himself

Saying that God told him to do it, Robert Francis Cistola, 63, of 2225 Reed St., admitted to a Montoursville police officer that he exposed himself in the 700 block of Mulberry St. about 5:30 p.m. on April 20, according to Montoursville police.

Charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness, Cistola was arraigned Monday before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman and recommitted to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of an additional $5,000 bail.

He already was incarcerated on South Williamsport police charges of stalking and harassing a woman by allegedly ringing her doorbell numerous times between April 7 and April 21. Police said Cistola wanted to talk to the woman about “a vision he received from God.”
