Man guilty of attempted Newberry bank robbery
A city man was found guilty by a Lycoming County jury of one count of felony robbery this week.
Antwone Cormier, 27, attempted to rob the M&T Bank at 2001 W. Fourth St. on Dec. 28, 2012.
Cormier entered the bank around 4 p.m. on a Friday and instructed a clerk to fill a bag with money.
When he attempted to leave the bank, a customer pinned him to the ground and several others assisted in apprehending Cormier, who had about $425 in the bag.

He will be sentenced on July 18.
