Police allege credit card theft of woman

WATSONTOWN – A Dewart woman faces 14 charges, including multiple counts of forgery, illegal use of credit and bank cards and theft and identity theft, borough police said.

Christa L. Stover, 41, allegedly took another’s credit card from an automatic teller machine in the borough after he left it at the machine, police said.

Stover allegedly used the card to spend about $233 at four stores.

Police searched Stover’s residence and found alleged stolen property, police said.

Arraigned before Senior District Judge Michael Mychak, Stover was placed in Northumberland County Prison in lieu of $40,000 bail.
