2 charged with retail theft at Wal-Mart
MANSFIELD – Two people were charged by state police recently with retail theft for allegedly stealing from Wal-Mart. According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson’s office, they are:
David S. Hildreth, 39, of Addison, N.Y., by state police, who said on June 23 he first purchased two fans, a bag of birdseed and household goods valued at $52 and left the store. He then filled a second cart with the same items and used his receipt from the previous purchase to return the second set of property for a full cash refund and exited the store. He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail..
David S. Baldwin, 39, of Addison, N.Y., by state police, who said on Jan. 30, he put household items totaling $586 including a microwave and two vacuums, into a cart and walked out the door. He was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail July 17.
