Man accused of assault in city home
A Washington Boulevard man faces two set of charges filed by city police.
Kevin Darrell Michaux, 39, of 731 Washington Blvd., has been charged with theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud for allegedly using stolen credit cards owned by Nicholas Calder at Turkey Hill, 700 Washington Blvd., and Family Dollar at 321 Memorial Ave, police said.
Police believe Michaux used the credit cards shortly after Calder left his wallet, which contained the cards, on a gas pump at Turkey Hill about 9 a.m. on July 4.
Police believe Michaux first used a credit car at the convenience store and then at the Family Dollar.
Following his arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page III the next morning, Michaux was released on $5,000 bail.
Michaux was back before Page on July 12 to face charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Brittany Snauffer, at the couple’s home, hours earlier on that day. Initially jailed in the Lycoming County Prison, he has since been released on $5,000 bail.
