Teen charged with receiving stolen property

Jeromey A. Drummond, 18, of 137 Huffman Ave., has been charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having a stolen cellphone and refusing to return it to its owner unless she turned over $150, state police said.

The phone was owned by Elizabeth Carson, who reported it stolen from Faxon Bowling Lanes on River Avenue in Loyalsock Township in late April, police said.

Drummond reportedly bought the stolen cellphone from an unidentified man for $150 and then refused to return the phone to Carson unless she forked over the same amount of money Drummond paid for it, police said.

Following his recent arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page III, Drummond was released on $1,500 bail.
