3 forgery acts alleged
Ronald Jerry Michaels Jr., 40, of 930 St. Boniface St., has been charged with three felony counts of forgery for allegedly forging three checks that were stolen from Tony Randolph’s home at 336 Adams St. late last month, city police said.
The forged checks were cashed for an amount that totaled $280, police said.
“Michaels has a drug problem and the family feels it’s the root of the crime,” an officer wrote in an affidavit. Following his recent arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page III, Michaels was released on $10,000 bail.
