Forgery charge dropped in plea agreement

In a plea agreement before District Judge James Carn, city police dropped a forgery charge against 21-year-old Shakiel Viveon Rice, of Lewisburg, after he agreed to pay the $61 in court costs that resulted from the criminal case.

The charge stemmed from Rice allegedly cashing a $321 counterfeit payroll check from Mountain View Nursing Home in Coal Township at United Check Cashing, 451 Hepburn St. in mid-November.
