Protection order OK’d against police chief

MILLVILLE (AP) – A northeastern Pennsylvania court has granted a protection-from-abuse order against a police chief accused of stalking and harassing his police officer ex-girlfriend.

WNEP-TV reports the ruling Friday in Columbia County Court says Millville police Chief Ted Stout must stay away from his former girlfriend and he must not carry a gun for a year and a half.

He currently is suspended without pay. Stout is the only full-time officer in Millville.
