Sex offender charged for failing to report address

JERSEY SHORE – A convicted sex offender living on Broad Street has been charged with failing to register his new address with the state police as he is required to do within 90 days after moving, according to court records.

Jerry Estil Plieseis, 30, 690 S. Broad St., last registered with the state police in October 2012 when he was living in Clearfield County, police said.

It was unknown how long he has been living on Broad Street.

Plieseis went to the Montoursville barracks last week to register his new address, but it was long overdue, police said. He also failed to complete an annual registration-verification he is required by law to file by mid-January, police added.

Following his arraignment last week before District Judge James Carn, Plieseis was released on $25,000 bail.
