Wedding crasher charged after allegedly running over guest

TOWANDA – A man who allegedly crashed a wedding and then ran over the person who told him to leave has been charged by state police with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence of intoxicants.

According to police, Joshua C. Nemeth, 30, crashed a wedding Saturday in the 1500 block of Southside Drive, Franklin Township, and then refused to leave when he was told to.

Nemeth susequently got into his vehicle, ran over Brian M. Hart, 28, and backed into a parked vehicle.

Police said Nemeth was held at the scene until they arrived, and was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.

Hart suffered minor injuries, police said.
