Man accused of shoving woman to home’s floor
MANSFIELD – Charles R. Carl Jr., 26, of 421 W. Main St., Westfield, was charged by state police with criminal mischief and harassment during a domestic incident in Rutland Township recently.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson’s office, Carl was at his mother-in-law’s residence at 1547 Dunkleberger Road, Rutland Township June 8, when the two argued.
According to the victim, he broke a wood table, and threw several boards she identified as her art work on the floor of a workshop.
She also said he threw her on the floor of the front porch and pushed her up against a glass door, where she suffered the cigarette burn from a cigarette he was holding.
Police said Carl admitted to grabbing her and breaking the table, as well as damaging her art work.
He was released on $2,500 bail and waived his preliminary hearing.
His county court arraignment was set for Sept. 23.
