Vehicular homicide alleged in deaths
TOWANDA – Criminal charges have been filed in a deadly crash in Wells Township that claimed the lives of a Williamsport couple earlier this year, state police said.
Roegester Grays, 45, of Lawrenceville, was intoxicated when his pickup truck and an SUV driven by Ryan Joseph English, 35, collided head on at Route 328 and Curren Lane just south of the New York State border at 4:45 p.m. March 1.
English was killed as was his 32-year-old wife, Karen.
Three children riding in their vehicle, along with Grays, were taken to the Arnot-Ogden Hospital in Elmira, N.Y., for treatment, according to officials.
Grays faces two counts each of vehicular homicide while under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle while under the influence, vehicular homicide, and one count of driving under the influence of intoxicants or a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Following his arraignment Friday, he was committed to the Bradford County Prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.
