2 charged with heroin possession
WELLSBORO – Two people were charged by borough police with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia following traffic stop on Main Street last week.
Sean D. Mack, 20, of 7 Jackson St., was charged with possession of a controlled substance after he allegedly was found with heroin.
According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard’s office, three packets of the drug were found in his possession.
He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a spoon, cotton and a syringe.
Police initially stopped Mack to check on a female slumped in the rear seat who appeared to be sleeping.
The woman, Bobbie J. Demo, 38, of 4A Kelsey St., was unresponsive and had to be taken by ambulance to the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.
She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after police found a bundle of heroin and a green and white straw for ingesting it.
Both were released on $1,500 bail each and their preliminary hearings set for Tuesday.
