Blossburg man charged with theft

MANSFIELD – Steven J. Wagaman, 45, of 107 Liberty St., Blossburg, was charged by state police with retail theft after he allegedly took several items at Wal-Mart Oct. 22.

According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson’s office, Wagaman took three DVDs, a newspaper, a magazine and a CD totaling $49, and went into the bathroom.

When he came out, he had most of the items under his shirt, police said and he tried to leave the store without paying.

Police said he had the CD in his shorts pocket.

Wagaman has a previous retail theft from Sept. 27, 2011.

He was issued a summons to appear at a Nov. 27 preliminary hearing.
