Charges in 2 separate cases withdrawn
State police dropped their case against Eldred Township resident Ronald Lewis Webb Jr., withdrawing charges of indecent assault and corrupting the morals of a minor against the 31-year-old man.
Without sufficient evidence to pursue the case, police cleared Webb, of Pinecrest Road, of allegations initially brought forth by a female minor under the age of 12.
The charges stemmed from an alleged incident in Loyalsock Township in mid-September 2012, police said.
In another case, city police dropped all charges against Harvey Grant Edward III, after the alleged victim in a home invasion-robbery was not able to identify in court the 37-year-old city man as one of the robbers.
Police withdrew charges of burglary, robbery, felony trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy against Edwards, of 46 Washington Blvd.
While charges against Edwards were dropped, his 18-year-old son, Nadir J., of the same address, was held over to court on all the same charges stemming from his involvement in the home invasion that occurred at a home in the 900 Clark Street about noon on March 27. The teen remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
