Man charged with taking credit card

WELLSBORO – Luke Vanness, 19, of 14 McInroy St., Wellsboro, was charged by borough police with access device fraud after he allegedly took a credit card that didn’t belong to him and used it Sept. 11.

According to documents filed at District Judge Rob Repard’s office, Vanness used a Chase MasterCard twice to charge $50 total without authorization from the owner after taking it from the residence and using it to buy gas.

Vanness waived his Sept. 24 preliminary hearing and was jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.

His county court arraignment was set for Oct. 14.
