Woman accused of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness
ELKLAND – Bobbie Jo Piaquadio, 36, of 20 Sherwood St., Wellsboro, was charged with disorderly conduct, hazardous, public drunkenness, by Elkland Police Oct. 6, after officers on patrol heard voices coming out of the Beam House, 109 North Buffalo St.
The officer said he saw 10 to 12 people in the area and as he approached most went back inside, while three or four stayed outside.
Piaquadio was in the area after being barred from the Beam House for shoving people, police said. Police told her to leave the area about 10 times, and she did not comply.
Instead, she went into the parking lot, pulled down her pants, swore at officers and said, “I have to pee.” She still refused to leave the area and was jailed and later was released on $2,500 bail and her preliminary hearing set for today.
Danny L. Swain, 36, of 150 A St., Wellsboro was charged by state police with theft, criminal conspiracy to commit theft along with Machelle L. Swain, 27, also charged with theft and criminal conspiracy for taking a washer and dryer combo when they moved out of their apartment and never returned it even after confronted by their former landlord’s, Frederick Messing, who told them his handyman had seen them coming and going after moving out. They were released in lieu of $5,000 bail each and their preliminary hearing set for Oct. 24.
