Police: 2 arrested for separate shoplifting in city, DuBoistown

A 31-year-old city woman with a history of shoplifting convictions was nabbed yet again, this time at Wegmans, 201 William St., when she was caught allegedly trying to steal merchandise on the morning of Oct. 28, city police.

Christina Marie Bradley, of 727 Hepburn St., who already has three shoplifting convictions, was arraigned before District Judge Allen P. Page III and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $7,500 bail. The value of the merchandise in this case was not listed.

Another woman who also has three shoplifting convictions on her record, Theresa Lee Smith, 39, of 120 Edgewood Ave., DuBoistown, was nabbed in Kohl’s, next door to the supermarket, allegedly trying to steal a pair of jeans on Oct. 10.

Following her recent arraignment before Page on a felony count of shoplifting, Smith was committed to the jail in lieu of $7,000 bail.

Also jailed on a shoplifting charge was Chasse William Lynch, 30, of 325 Eckmont Ave., South Williamsport, who was caught at Wegmans attempting to steal $12 worth of candy on Oct. 12, police said. This was his second shoplifting arrest.

Initially incarcerated following his arraignment before Page, Lynch has since been released on $2,500 bail.
