State police investigate thefts and radio tower vandalism
State police are investigating an act of vandalism in which someone climbed over a security fence and shorted out two conductors to a radio tower’s transmission line.
The suspect drilled a hole into the line and inserted a copper pine, which shorted out the conductors, said police, who released information Wednesday morning.
It was unknown how much it would cost to repair the damage.
Police also are investigating a burglary at Jennifer Layton’s home at 212 E. Village Drive in Susquehanna Township in which a laptop was stolen. Police released information Tuesday morning.
Barbara Ann Morehart, of Williamsport, reported her blue-and-yellow mountain bike was stolen from 1208 Miller St. in Loyalsock Township during the first two weeks of November.
