Man charged with urinating on window of police station
MANSFIELD – Daryl S. Mitchell, 24, of 37 E. Main St., was charged by borough police after he allegedly urinated on the window of the police station in the borough municipal building at 14 S. Main St. early Saturday.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson’s office, Mitchell was charged with disorderly conduct, indecent exposure and public drunkenness after he was picked up at the Pump and Pantry convenience store at 82 S. Main St.
Borough Officer Stephan A. Earp said he was seated at the front desk, facing the window of the municipal building about 1:30 a.m. when he heard a loud laugh after several individuals walked past.
Earp said he went to the foyer to find Mitchell with his penis exposed, urinating all over the window.
As Earp came out of the door, Mitchell ran away, screaming, “You can’t catch me,” according to police.
Earp was dispatched to the Pump and Pantry a short time later for a report of a drunk individual and found Mitchell asleep in a booth at the store, police said..
Mitchell was jailed and then released on $1,500 bail and his preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 8.
