Inmate allegedly bites guard’s arm

Additional charges have been filed against accused convenience store robber Bryan Chrisophe Hall after the 20-year-old Lycoming County Prison inmate allegedly bit a corrections officer on the forearm, according to county Detective Stephen J. Sorage.

Sorage said Hall, of Hughesville, fought with two officers and bit one of them as they were attempting to return the inmate to his cell from another location within the jail, located at 277 W. Third St., on the morning of Nov. 7.

Charged with aggravated and simple assault, Hall, an admitted heroin addict, waived his preliminary hearing and remains behind bars in lieu of an additional $25,000 bail. He has been incarcerated since mid-October when he was arrested on charges of allegedly robbing a clerk at the Uni-Mart on Main Street in Hughesville on Oct. 12.
