More theft charges filed against inmate

Lycoming County Prison inmate Kathleen E. Enders faces more charges stemming from incidents in November when she walked into four Loyalsock Township businesses, all on East Third Street, and allegedly stole items from employees’ lockers at two of the establishments, state police said.

Enders, a 23-year-old Lycoming College student who lives at 1119 Almond St., walked into the businesses, posing as a new employee who had transferred from other outlets, police said.

In each case, she entered areas of the outlets that were restricted to employees and were off limits to the public, police said. The establishments that were victimized between Nov. 5 and Nov. 20 were: McDonald’s, Kmart, Red Lobster and Pizza Hut, police said.

A small amount of cash was stolen an employee’s locker at McDonald’s and an iPad was taken from an employee’s locker at Kmart, police said.

Following her recent arraignment before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of theft and felony trespassing, Enders was recommitted in lieu of an additional $50,000 bail.

She already was incarcerated on charges of allegedly stealing items from dorm rooms of fellow college students in October as well as allegedly stealing articles from unlocked units at the secured Williamsport Manor apartment complex, 450 Center St., after sneaking into the building on Nov. 17, city police said.
