ELKLAND – Samantha L. Ordway, 25, of 180 Harley Ave., Westfield, was charged by borough police with theft by deception after she allegedly sold cookie dough for a school fundraiser and then kept the money.
According to documents filed at District Judge C. Roger McRae’s office, Ordway went door to door between Sept. 15 and Oct. 9, selling cookie dough to raise funds for Westfield Elementary School.
She submitted three orders to the school, but the 11 victims never received their orders or had their money returned. The amount totaled $263.
She was issued a summons for a Feb. 4 preliminary hearing.
ELKLAND – Travis G. Burdick, 32, of 6133 Route 49, Westfield, was charged by borough police with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly beat up another man.
According to documents filed at District Judge C. Roger McRae’s office, on Dec. 8, Burdick beat up Murray F. Johnson Jr. at the Colonial Hotel parking lot, 122 E. Main St., hitting and kicking him.
Burdick was issued a summons for a Feb. 4 preliminary hearing.
ELKLAND – Robert H. Earl, 73, of 4860 Route 49, Sabinsville, was charged by state police with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent exposure and indecent assault after several incidents at his residence between Jan. 1, 2011, and Dec. 1, 2013.
He was issued a summons for a Feb. 4 preliminary hearing.
