Watsontown woman accused of multiple shoplifting incidents

A Northumberland County woman who claimed she had been arrested for shoplifting twice in a month was arrested when she was caught at Kmart, 1915 E. Third St., trying to steal $320 worth of merchandise on Oct. 17, according to state police.

Nicole Renee Bierly 28, of Watsontown, was recently arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on a misdemeanor charge of shoplifting and remained jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Bierly told police that in the past month, she was nabbed for shoplifting at Sears at the Lycoming Mall and at Wal-Mart in Lewisburg.
