Fight leads to assault charges

Anthony Craig Pulcini, 35, of 1309 Elmira St., has been charged with simple assault and harassment after a physical altercation at a Uni-Mart, 101 Bridge St., Jersey Shore.

Pulcini is alleged to have punched Eric Sagan, of Linden, after the two began arguing in the parking lot of the convenience store.

Both men ended up there after Sagan witnessed Pulcini drop off Sagan’s ex-girlfriend, Charleanne Fredricks, at the Jersey Shore Hospital emergency room for her work shift.

According to an affadavit, Pulcini accused Sagan of following him to the convenience store and questioning him about his relationship with Fredricks.

Sagan claimed that Pulcini was responsible for the initial confrontation, and was only at the convenience store by chance.

After a short argument, Pulcini punched Sagan several times through his car window, leading to “a good-sized cut” over Sagan’s eye, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional police officer Jordan Mahosky.

Pulcini then left the store, and Sagan called police as he followed him, resulting in a traffic stop.

Pulcini has been held for court on all charges following his preliminary hearing before Judge Jerry C. Lepley on Feb. 19.
