With assault charge withdrawn, Nices Hollow Road woman pleads not guilty to harassment
JERSEY SHORE – Tiadaghton Valley Regional police withdrew a charge of simple assault this week against 31-year-old Jessica Baird, who pleaded not guilty to a summary harassment offense.
The charges stem from Baird allegedly threatening to strangle her teenage son during an argument she was having with him in her car on Feb. 3, police said.
The mother, while driving, then put her hands around the son’s neck, police said. The alleged incident occurred near her Porter Township home, police said.
Baird, 578 Nices Hollow Road, will have a hearing before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley.
