Ex-football player sentenced for assault
EASTON (AP) – A former Lehigh University football player has been sentenced to one to two months behind bars for kicking another Lehigh student in the face during a fight outside a Bethlehem bar.
The Express-Times said 20-year-old Russhon Phillips, of Plymouth Meeting, was sentenced Friday in Northampton County Court for the attack last September. Phillips was convicted of simple assault and public drunkenness.
Police said Paul Graham, 22, was unconscious on the ground when Phillips kicked him in the face, breaking his jaw in two places.
