Police: Jersey Shore woman hides fugitive from law in attic
JERSEY SHORE – Parolee Heather Lynn Edwards, 30, of 324 Cemetery St., has been charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution for allegedly harboring known fugitive Jose Colon, 40, in her attic on March 26, according to the Tiadaghton Valley Regional police.
Colon was being sought on a parole violation. Upon his capture on that date, Colon automatically was placed in the Lycoming County Prison.
Edwards, who also has been jailed on a parole violation, was arraigned last week before District Judge Jerry C. Lepley on the misdemeanor hindering charge and recommitted in lieu of $5,000 bail.
