Man allegedly fires gun in midst of argument
TOWANDA – George Lewis Jr., 72, of Athens, was charged by state police here after he allegedly fired a round from a hunting rifle during a dispute May 30.
According to police, Lewis was arguing with his neighbors Andrew Tiffany, 30 and Frederick Tiffany, 29, about damage to a fence.
When the two Tiffanys left the property in their vehicle, Lewis allegedly fired one round of a 30.06 rifle in the direction of their vehicle. Lewis was charged with recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.
