Shoplifting charges filed against 6 in separate incidents
JERSEY SHORE – A 36-year-old Lock Haven man who already has eight shoplifting convictions has been arrested yet again and charged with the same offense after he walked out of Buttorff’s Hardware on Bridge Street with $19 worth of saw blades without paying for them on May 5, according to the Tiadaghton Valley Regional police.
“I’m a drug addict. I need help,” Adam White told District Judge Jerry C. Lepley during his recent arraignment.
White was identified as the alleged shoplifter with the help of the police department’s Facebook page, according to an affidavit.
The theft was captured on the store’s video camera, and police took a photo image of the suspect from the video and placed on the department’s Facebook. Police soon began receiving information from several callers who identified the thief allegedly as White.
