Woman faces drug charges
MANSFIELD – Lorrie A. Parsons, 43, of no known address, is accused of possessing drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and a traffic offense, according to court documents.
Mansfield police say Parsons was driving on West Wellsboro Street around 10:19 p.m. on June 21 without her vehicle’s tail lights or headlights activated. After he initiated a traffic stop on Parsons, an officer discovered that she had an active arrest warrant out of Bradford County and that her license had expired in 2011, an affidavit said.
Parsons then was taken into custody, during which police found a “hollowed-out pen containing an unknown white powder,” in a purple bag that was in the vehicle, as well as an unknown pill. Though Parsons had a prescription bottle for oxycodone on her possession at the time of the offense, the pill in the bottle was not oxycodone, according to police.
Following her recent arraignment before District Judge James E. Carlson, Parsons was committed to Tioga County Prison in lieu of $1,500 bail.
