Man arrested in city faces drug charges in Clinton County
A man who was arrested for violating a protection from abuse order in the city also is facing charges for selling heroin in Clinton County.
Quantte Malik Hanes, 23, with a last known address of 626 Sixth Ave., was charged by city police with violating a PFA on May 28 and arraigned at Judge Gary Whiteman’s office with a bail set at $10,000.
Hanes also is suspected of dealing drugs at a Sheetz in Mill Hall last August. An informant for state police set up a controlled buy with Hanes during which he exchanged $800 of funds set aside for the investigation for eight bundles of heroin, court documents said. A second controlled buy was conducted with Hanes in Williamsport.
Whiteman arraigned Hanes on felony charges of delivery of controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility. Hanes was jailed in lieu of a $100,000 bail.
