Woman charged with thefts from vehicles and drug offenses
A city woman has been arrested on theft and drug charges stemming from crimes she allegedly committed in her neighborhood, according to court records.
Janissa Renee Kent, 18, of 910 Poplar St., is accused of taking a $200 radio from Kevin McDonnell’s vehicle and a pair of headphones and sunglasses from Adam Lehman’s vehicle while they were parked in the 2200 block of Lincoln Street on the night of last Aug. 11.
Apprehended near the scene, Kent allegedly had a plastic bag of marijuana on her, police said.
Charged with theft, receiving stolen property and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Kent was initially committed to the Lycoming County Prison, she has since been released on $25,000 bail.
