2 DUI charges in one night
Less than 10 minutes after dropping off accused drunk driver Tammy L. Cimini at her home in South Williamsport, borough Patrolman Jacob Summers saw the 48-year-old woman behind the wheel of her SUV, according to court records
Summers initially stopped Cimini on East Central Avenue about 1 a.m. on May 7 and detected “a heavy odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath,” according to the officer’s affidavit.
Cimini, of 49 E. Mountain Ave., was taken to the county DUI center, and agreed to have her blood drawn. The officer then drove Cimini home, telling her she could pick up her vehicle the next day, the affidavit stated.
However, a few minutes later, Summers spotted Cimini driving her vehicle north on Hastings Street and running a stop sign at East Mountain Avenue and Main Street, Summers said.
Cimini then parked near her home and was arrested her for a second driving under the influence of intoxicants charge, Summers said.
The officer filed two counts against Cimini after receiving a lab report that revealed her blood-alcohol content level at the time was .25. She recently waived her preliminary hearing and is free on bail.
