Police busy handling rash of area pellet gun incidents

A male passenger in a car fired what was believed to be a pellet gun at a car driven by a female at East Mountain Avenue and Main Street in South Williamsport about 7:20 p.m. Monday, borough police were told.

The female, whose age was not available, was not injured, according to police.

Police were looking for a car, believed to be a gold-colored Buick, occupied by two to four males.

Shortly after the incident on Main Street, borough police received information that someone fired a pellet gun at a boy near East Mountain Avenue and Fleming Street, about three blocks away. Again, no one was injured.

While borough police were busy handling these two incidents, city police responded to the first block of Washington Boulevard to investigate a report of a pellet shot fired at a house. No one was hurt.

Back in the borough, a motorist reported someone fired a pellet gun from another vehicle at his car near East Second Avenue and Sylvan Dell Road about 8 p.m. The suspect’s vehicle was possibly a tan Malibu, police were told.
