2 17-year-olds charged as adults in man’s killing

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Two 17-year-olds have been charged as adults with conspiring to kill a 25-year-old Pittsburgh man found dead in a crashed car.

Twenty-five-year-old Chauncy Howard was found fatally shot inside the vehicle after it crashed into a utility pole about 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police found five men in another vehicle matching one seen leaving the scene of the crash, and charged the 17-year-olds, Tremond Allston and Charles Williams, with weapons violations at that time.

Pittsburgh police announced Tuesday that Allston and Williams have been charged as adults with criminal homicide, conspiracy and other counts in Howard’s death.

They were in custody awaiting arraignment and did not have attorneys listed in online court records Tuesday.
